Plans for a new wind farm in South Ayrshire have been backed by a Scottish Government reporter after a successful appeal. Trevor Croft, of the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals, upheld the PNE Wind UK appeal for the Tralorg Wind Farm, near Girvan.
Mr Croft visited South Ayrshire to review the company’s proposals after the council rejected the application for an eight turbine site last year.
Gilbert Stevenson, Project Manager at PNE Wind UK, said:
“We are delighted that our appeal has been upheld. We have always believed that the Tralorg wind farm is a well-designed and sensibly located scheme.
We are very grateful for the support that we have received from many local people and organisations for the Tralorg Wind Farm and we now look forward to the next stage of development.”
